This article compares those presentations and their limits. It does not measure the quality of individual clinicians, establish a standard yearly price, or assume that a broader assessment is automatically better for every patient.

Compare the starting steps separately
Marek’s TRT page shows an approximately $299 starting charge and excludes required laboratories, prescriptions, and supplements from that fee. Defy’s indexed monthly averages are illustrations rather than subscription rates; direct retrieval of that cost FAQ was blocked during our check.
Ask both providers for the first appointment cost, laboratory plan, medication estimate, and continuing review charges. The Marek review and Defy review explain the public reference points. Comparing an entry charge with an annualized average would not compare the same service.
Ask what each person does
Marek describes coaching as part of its approach. Defy describes clinician consultations and a range of services. In either arrangement, identify who can make prescribing decisions, who explains laboratory results, and who supports day-to-day organization. A job title or service label alone cannot establish response time or continuity.
If you want a narrow assessment rather than several additional services, say so. Ask which parts of the proposal are clinically recommended, optional, or prerequisites under the clinic’s policy. That makes it easier to judge fit without assuming the longest menu offers the best outcome.
Testing should answer a question

Put the next year on one page
List the proposed medicine, pharmacy, approval status, follow-up schedule, and each expected charge. Ask about changes, cancellations, and record transfer. Neither company’s introductory language establishes how these details apply to every patient.
